The Design/Build Advantage.
It’s what makes us different.

Building a new facility is an exciting, but often scary, proposition. There are so many possibilities – and just as many unknowns. The process may be unfamiliar to you. You have concerns about budget, quality, and control.

We understand. We’ve helped hundreds of churches just like yours not only survive the process, but actually enjoy it -- and praise the results.

Join us as we discuss the nuts and bolts of church expansion. We’ll answer your questions and share why we feel The McKnight Group approach to design/build church construction is, simply, the best way for a church to build.

You have questions. We have answers!

Principles for Designing and Building an Effective Ministry Tool
Basic ideas that make a difference.

Your church's building should be a tool that strengthens, not hinders, God's unique vision for your ministries. Introducing your community to Jesus is such an important a calling – don’t risk creating a space that fails to assist with your mission. This program is about understanding and embracing a number of key ideas that we believe will make any church addition or expansion project more successful.

This isn’t about taking a cookie-cutter approach to church design. With a knowledge of these core values, you’re then free to think about how location, culture, purpose, and other important factors will shape your project. The principles we will discuss are a key component of the McKnight design/build philosophy.

How To Put Your Best Foot Forward
With style and color

“Churches only get one chance to make a lasting impression!”
-- Alan Nelson

The heart of any church is its congregation. But your building interior can be a tool to enhance your ministry. Its appearance, and how you use it, says a lot to newcomers.

In this workshop, we’ll explore why stewardship of interior spaces and fixtures is so important. How do you determine the type and quality of products to use in your interior? What about color and style? What types of furnishings are appropriate? And how do you pull it all together to form a well-coordinated facility? These issues are important for any church, of any size and budget. Get answers here.

Sharpening the Saw
Finding your own definition of cutting-edge ministry

Do you have a clear grasp of God’s desired future for your church? Do you know the steps required to get there?  If the answer is no, or you’re not sure, you are not alone. Many churches build great buildings without truly understanding who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and where God is leading their congregation.

This workshop will help you understand the dynamics and process of biblical strategic planning. Don’t assume that a new building will automatically take you to the next level. Let us help you evaluate your situation and goals, and align your design/build needs with a vision that is uniquely your own.

The Small Church – What Can We Do?
More than you may realize

Whether you are a new church or a church that has been around for 100 years, if your congregation is below 200 persons in average attendance, your church is categorized “small.” Collectively, however, you and your peers make up about 80 percent of churches in America!

Join us to discuss the many ways small churches can be more effective in ministry and responsiveness to its members. We’ll help you embrace your uniqueness and show you the paths for growth. The first church McKnight Group built was small; your strength and purpose are very close to our hearts.

Putting Together Your Dream Team
An All-Star Building Committee

One of the first steps when considering a building program is to assemble a trustworthy building committee or visionary team. In this workshop, we’ll explore what the team should look like and answer important questions, such as:

  • Who should be on the team?
  • What are the common characteristics of successful team members?
  • What are the responsibilities of the team?
  • What is the biblical blueprint for a team leader?

We encourage you to bring your own questions, and participate in the discussion. Stronger teams always result in more successful projects.
