The leaders of Trevecca Community Church have a substantial vision
of growth for their church and membership. Their mission is to glorify
God by building bridges between the Trevecca Community and the world
beyond. To achieve this mission and vision, they realized the need
for a functional building that was inviting to others and capable of
supporting new ministries that would help reach the surrounding Nazarene
community.
With the initial building costs rising beyond Trevecca’s available
budget, church leaders worked with The McKnight Group to develop
a master plan and approach building in phases, allowing the church
to plan and coordinate fundraising efforts in stages for manageability.
In 2003, The McKnight Group started Phase 1, which consisted of remodeling
the existing worship center and adding a new office wing at the front
of the building. In 2007, Phase 2 saw increased expansion: the demolition
of an old building and the construction of a large, flexible multi-ministry
space.

The new 44,720 square foot building can be used for a variety of
different activities, and Trevecca partners and supports the local
Nazarene College for anything from rehearsals to large events.
The worship center is state-of-the-art and features enhanced sound
and video capabilities. The building also features a nursery, full-service
kitchen, fireside room, upscale café and a basement area
that can be used for expanding ministries to the poor, allowing
Trevecca to actively engage and support their surrounding community.

Since the completion of Phase 2, Trevecca Community Church
has seen its membership grow from 500 to over 900,
with the facility and ministries helping to provide
exposure to new people and students every week. Trevecca
has become a tremendous resource for both the neighboring
college and the community that they serve.
