First Church of the Nazarene
Shelbyville, TN

Scope:
11,500 square feet
sanctuary addition

Purpose:
The exterior of First Church of the Nazarene’s new sanctuary is different from anything else in town – and the community wouldn’t want it any other way. Many consider it Shelbyville’s most attractive church. Its interior is equally appealing: the color scheme and furnishings were designed to welcome newcomers and familiar faces alike. The addition includes a new foyer that connects two existing buildings, which gives the facility a brand-new feel. The space accommodates a growing congregation; a new master plan ensures the church is ready for additional growth.

Highlights:

  • Platform with baptistery
  • Classrooms
  • Conference rooms
  • Master plan for future phases

“Our beautiful new sanctuary allows the entire congregation to once again worship together as a family. Our vastly enlarged narthex space provides for, and encourages meaningful fellowship with others. The interior seems to say to all our visitors, ‘We’re glad you’re here!’ We couldn’t be more pleased!
