Beavercreek Nazarene, Beavercreek, OH

Dear McKnight Group,
Wanted to drop you a letter of deep appreciation for the relationship with your company this past year in the new addition and the renovation of our sanctuary, constructed by your company in 1993. The whole process for me was a learning experience being I had never been involved in a building project in my previous 27 years of ministry. Every person we encountered in the process from initial planning through the completion of the project was extremely helpful and accommodating.
When I came to Beavercreek in 1997, I became aware of the name McKnight because of your previous association with BCN through the pastor at the time, Jim Mahan. I heard many good comments about that previous experience, which made the decision easier in regards to the company that we would use for this project. As with all projects, I became aware, not everything was perfect and smooth but the relationship was more than just a builder/congregation setting. It was a relationship built on working together for the best interest of the church. The process of communication was truly a learning experience. The relationship of one side wanting to work at a professional level but also at a personal level to work the process through to a satisfactory completion.
I want to personally acknowledge the working relationship with Dick "Senior" Cornell and Roe "Junior" Watkins on the site. Both these individuals were of tremendous help to me throughout the whole project. Always willing to answer "amateur" (that's why I'll stick to the senior pastorate) questions. The very stern and concerned professionalism that was projected in doing the job right, was seen in every area of the project. Making the sub-contractors follow through on what they were supposed to and being very determined to make it right. Dick and Roe were more help than any expressions I could make in this letter. They always had time for me to show them this or that in regards to something I had seen in my walk through the building, which were quite often I might say. The impression they gave to me was that I was important to them. They made me feel like they were part of my family and wanted to make sure things were right. The personal side was such a blessing to our people in this long process. Even though there were bumps along the way they were constantly being smoothed out by the people we come in contact with from The McKnight Group. It is my intent for you to once again pass on to these gentlemen my heart felt appreciation for making this building program such a wonderful experience. Am I ready for another one with this kind of feeling? Not quite, but this experience was truly a good one for me thanks to these men.
Also, I want to thank Dale Taylor for his continued servant heart to BCN. It seemed to me he had the rough task of being the go-between. That is not the easiest in the world. Dale was very professional and personal. His attitude of working with the customer to do whatever needs to be done for the relationship to stay in tact was a strong point of this whole process working. Thank you, Dale for your customer service attentiveness.
This letter is intended to be an open letter for anyone that might be considering The McKnight Group for their building project. My experience with them places the whole organization in an overly high rating recommendation. Thank you for a building that is reaching our neighborhoods for Christ. What you did for us in this project was give us usable space to allow our community to know they are welcome at BCN. This building is their building. The functionality of the facility can be attributed to the relationship of The McKnight Group to the people of BCN. Thanks for being a part of our vision "Bridging Church to Neighborhoods."
Sincerely,
Keven J. Wentworth
