A rare combination: Decades of experience, cutting-edge ideas
McKnight and Hosterman Architects, Inc., began operations in 1970 as a partnership and was incorporated in March 1972.  Homer R. McKnight and William E. Hosterman, have an excellent working relationship that has brought about the successful design and completion of more than 500 projects.

Well known in Central Ohio as specialists in church design and construction, McKnight and Hosterman Architects, Inc. possess a wealth of experience in other types of projects as well.  Accomplishments include financial and educational institutions, medical and dental offices, facilities for the elderly, commercial, food service, industrial, office, and distribution buildings.

McKnight Development Corporation began operations in 1970 and was incorporated in March 1972.  It’s officers, Homer R. McKnight, David K. McKnight, Shirley M. McKnight and G. Hal Pieper, have an excellent working relationship that has brought about the successful construction of numerous projects.

The firm is well known in Central Ohio as specialists in church and assisted living construction with over 500 completed projects.  The firm also has a wealth of experience in several other types of projects.  A wide project range, including financial institutions, educational, medical and dental offices, facilities for the elderly, commercial, industrial, food service, distribution, and institutional projects, has been completed during the firm's 35 years of service.  Because of the successful relationships and products we develop, we have built many projects for the same churches and clients.

McKnight Development Corporation's close working relationship with McKnight & Hosterman Architects, Inc. and it's exclusive design/build contracts, gives the firm several advantages.  Advantages such as, a current working knowledge of costs during the design phase, current construction techniques and available materials, and a working knowledge of construction funds requested versus work completed.  This experience has proven to give the firm's clients a confident and comfortable feeling about their project.

Thirty years experience of designing and constructing buildings with over 500 churches affords a notable track record. Yet we maintain a relatively low profile. We tend not to boast our accomplishments, and prefer to give honor to the Lord. It is because we desire to participate in the Kingdom of God that we seek to help churches realize their potential and advance the cause of Christ.
